The Titanic House Band concert raised £126 for the Exuberant Trust.

November

The Exuberant Trust set up the beginnings of the Commedia Project, in memory of Sebastian Graham-Jones who was involved with the performing arts during his life.

The remit of the Commedia project is for young students to choreograph and perform a piece of dance that has been inspired by one of the 5 movements of Robin Holloway’s Serenade in C, Op. 41, which will then be performed publicly.

A prize of £1,000 will be offered to the finalist of the project with a further £500 provided for the productions costs of the performance.

An application pack containing a CD recording of Holloway’s Serenade and details of the projects have been sent to 10 Professional Training Schools for Dancers (e.g. Royal Ballet School, Laine Theatre Arts, the Dance School of Scotland etc.), with an aim to Showcase the winning piece in 2006.

The Exuberant Trust has committed £1,500 of funding for the Commedia Project.
