January

The Young Performers’ Platform, held on 4th January at the Amey Hall, Abingdon School was very successful with a high standard of performance achieved by all of the artists involved. A good audience was present and £515 was donated to the Exuberant Trust. The concert was the first showcase for some of the Exuberant Trust grant award-winners, in which they kindly agreed to perform in a concert to raise further funds for the trust.

Sarah Verney Caird has resigned as Chair of the committee, but will continue to be an Exuberant Trustee. Susannah Graham-Jones has agreed to become ‘Acting Chair’ until a replacement can be found. She would rather not be the official Chair due to her family connections to the Exuberant Trust.

March

Sue Cave has agreed to become an Exuberant Trustee. Sue is an artist and teacher in North Oxfordshire and will make a valuable contribution to the Trust with her knowledge and experience in the field of art.

July

The Exuberant Trust has received funding of £5,000 from the Rivendale Trust (now Music for All), which aims to promote the benefit of making music, targeting all ages with a series of projects. The Exuberant Trust is extremely grateful for this support from the Rivendale Trust, which will enable further grants to be made to young people.

October

Trustee Sue Cave has organised a competition for young people in Oxfordshire who are in years 11 – 13 at school or college, to design a logo for the Exuberant Trust. A prize of £100 is to be awarded for the winning entry.
