Charlie Woodhouse is 18 years old and lives in St Albans where he attends Beaumont School. He has played the cello since the age of five, learning the Suzuki Method with Sara Bethge at St. Albans Music School. Since January 2016 he has been a student at the Junior Department of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where his teacher is Alfia Nakipbekova. Charlie also learns the piano with Jennifer Purvis in St Albans, and has just completed his A level exams. In 2016, Charlie won the Secondary Schools Solo Strings category in the St. Albans Young Musician competition, and in February 2018 he performed Elgar’s Cello Concerto with the Oxford Studio Orchestra. Charlie is due to take up a place at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in September 2019, where he will continue his cello studies with Eduardo Vassallo.

Peter McMullin read Music at Lady Margaret Hall, Oxford. After graduating and finding no money available to fund a Dphil, he took a job with Blackwell's Music Shop and he has worked there ever since. As a musician he carved out a niche as an accompanist, coach and mentor, working largely with young musicians. He is in demand as a conductor, has performed as a singer with the New London Chamber Choir and sings with the University Church Choir. Other interests are jass and occasional flute playing in local orchestras.
