Grants awarded in 2005


Awards totalling £3,250 were made to 11 young artists from Oxfordshire in 2005. The grants were given to 8 instrumentalists, 2 composers and a dancer as summarised below:


Violinist - sponsorship for the Sounds Underground festival (2005). £150


Pianist - sponsorship for the Sounds Underground festival (2005). £150


Composer and producer - for assistance with rehearsal fees for a Live Performance Project. £300


Clarinettist - for assistance with fees for the National Children’s Orchestra and the National Children's Wind Sinfonia. £500


Composer and violinist - commission for a Horn Trio. £300


Clarinettist - for assistance towards the purchase of a new clarinet. £250


Oboist and pianist - for assistance with fees to attend the Royal Academy of Music (Jnr. Dept.). £500


Flautist - for a set of individual flute lessons. £300


Violinist - for assistance with fees for Pro Corda chamber music course. £300


Dancer - for assistance with dance fees and equipment. £200
